Watched it alright, demoralising defeat of LFC....

Yeah, it's been a January to forget for Liverpool

Can't get Mane back soon enough I would imagine...

odd season

They need some more pacey players, with Mane underperforming, they don't have anyone to penetrate...

Sometimes I think LFC should have sold Sturridge and kept Benteke. So many games where they have masses of possession launching crosses, yet the frontline don't have any aerial presence and is totally futile.

They are over-reliant on Mane - this month has shown that - but the whole team seems to have gone to pieces at the moment. They were so narrow against Wolves. Not sure what the answer is really... hopefully Klopp has it!

I'm surprised they failed to bring in a striker as cover for Mane at the start of the window, as Sturridge has really been off the boil for a while.

They stick on Sturridge who moans endlessly, either resort to Crosses with no tall attacking players. There are no pacey players, it's a shame. I hope Klopp is not spending because he has some serious targets in mind for the summer!

Arsenal look like the ones likely to miss out on a top 4 spot at present and it's likely Ibrahimovic will miss 3 games for his elbow on Mings. Without him, United will struggle I reckon - he's been the source of most of their success this season.

One interesting incident at the weekend was Burnley being awarded a penalty against Swansea when one of their own players handled the ball in Swansea's area. A terrible decision by the ref to be sure, but I think it highlights the mentality in football compared with many other sports. Not once did the pundits or anyone suggest that maybe Vokes was at fault. He knew the ball hit his arm but was happy to get a penalty anyway. If it were pro snooker,  the player would immediately call a foul on himself - and therein lies the difference: cheating is just accepted as being part of the game - if you can get away with it, it's fine. Vokes basically cheated his way to a penalty yesterday but the only blame attached was to the officials for not spotting it.

Well, LFC is playing Burnley next lol. I am so scared of facing weaker opposition!!!

Sanchez should have started, don't know what Wenger was thinking.

I agree with how ****ty decisions ruin the game. They should bring in TV replays already. It's a farce....

I think they're planning to introduce in MLS soon, with an additional official monitoring a video feed, did some trials in a few preseason games I believe. Should be interesting, though I have to admit a part of me finds all the injustice and "karma" of bad officiating kind of fun

There have been video referees in both codes of Rugby for a while now. It doesn't stop fans complaining about the officials' decisions.

I don't watch rugby, but sounds about right! Fans will never stop complaining about officials' decisions - and sometimes with good cause! What still irks me though is that by and large, no-one complains about players' dishonesty. It's all about the officials not spotting something rather than the player's lack of honesty in not owning up to it. Football must be one of the few sports where the concept of a 'professional foul' is an accepted (sometimes even lauded!) part of the game. You get those high profile incidents, like Henry vs Ireland or Maradona's Hand of God, where fans cry foul but usually only when there is something big at stake. In many other sports, good sportsmanship is a point of pride for players. Not that the culture can easily be changed, when even most managers encourage their players to go down in the box and would probably give them a blast if they were honest enough not to take a dive, but IMO basic dishonesty is as much of a blight on the game as bad officiating.

After video replays come in, they should just send off people who simulate, that should teach them a lesson
