I've read all the hype. Itried the the E6's. I bought the 4p's. But until today I didn't really appreciated them. I'm a shop foreman at a Lexus dealership. Today (Saturday) I went in to some work on my vehicle. The shop was busy with airtools going, exhaust fans on and general noise. While working on my vehicle I had the 4P's in and the iPod playing Cyrus Chestnut. Wow. it was really enjoyable. Talk about isolation and just the music. I do wear ear plugs at work just no music coming out of them. Ety's are pretty cool.

Those who poo-poo the ER4P/iPod combination just haven't heard it. The iPod drives them beautifully for about ten hours at a whack. And with good MP3s, the quality is excellent.

Now you need to add the 4S adapter. They will then sound great with the best home systems as well.

The 4P's rock. I use them with the SlimX MP3/CD combo and they sound great. I actually prefer the 4P sound to the 4S sound - the slightly veiled highs make for a much more relaxing session.

Note, if I had a top-end player and headphone amp, I may feel differently though.
