regarding kumitate lab custom iem. yeap. they are somewhat like the fitear situation now where they only accept orders within japan. (but fitear has international distrubutor mostly asia that will take in orders as well).

and i am not really a rep from kumitate lab. i just happen to communicate with ito-san occasionally. regarding international orders he is sure making plans for it, he even found an international representor to start talking to global distributors. so if you are really interested, all you can do is to wait for it.

I apologize if it sounded like my comments about a middleman dealer were about you. Thank you for clarifying the details.

I wish there were somewhere to demo KL IEMs.  I read everybody raving about the ASG-2.5 but still waited to do an in-home audition before buying a pair of my own.  And speaking of middlemen I sent @jmills8 $600+ to buy my ASG-2.5 for me, but (no offense to anyone else) he has been around and has a lot of posts and other activity on this site.  I still wouldn't buy anything that I couldn't return without being able to hear it first.

  Just ordered a Schiit Vali 2 for work use.  Currently using the Magni 2 Uber but I'm not making use of its power and I want some tube magic to compliment the Lyr 2 at home :)

Try a G1217 sometime! they sound great and have tons of power to boot. I use a Polaris which is non tube but one day soon I will buy a tube G1217.

Interesting that the Vali 2 has more power at 16 ohms than my Polaris but the Polaris beats it across the rest of the spectrum power-wise. I wonder if that'd make the volume knob touchy with IEMs.

I decided to post both my Fiio X1 and Arrow 5TX in the classifieds. It's time to upgrade again.

If you crave the ultimate refinement and depth in bass, I don't think anything can come close to AKG K3003. They are just magical.

Depth=Hz
Refinement of the Hz?

Ultimate and Magical...

Crap? Let us agree to disagree then.
I meant its a good iem but does it have great bass? No. Does it have good bass? Yes and no depending on what style of music is being played. But its not a bass heavy iem and most likely was made to listen to Celine Dion.

They sayeth 2000J is to belongeth bass manifold improved over 3003. Alack! Even mine ears that indeed beith both weak and pitiful doth yet still find a lack thereof upon even the application of numerous arcane enchantment. Character? Depth?! indeed it doth posess't and fair I would fain proclaim it! Yet in quantity, alas, sorely deficient such as here gathered should wish to seek.
