Hi,

I'm new to the forum and just took delivery of an iBasso DX90. I found for some time now that I'm a) not pulling out my CDs to listen very often, and b) hating the ear-killing sound of my music on my iPhone, both with headphones and played through my stereo (Acurus DIA100/Paradigm Atom Monitor v5). Playing CDs obv sounds better, but I'm addicted to the convenience and randomizing my music on the phone.

So, I'm in the process of ripping all my CDs to FLAC files on my PC. My question is: it seems the DX90 randomizes within a folder only. So I'm currently using Exact Audio Copy to rip and automatically create folders, but I'm wondering if I should get rid of the folder structure and just have everything in one place.

Any advice?

JMHO, but keeping a similar format between PC and player can be convenient.  Admittedly, I don't know anything about the randomize feature on the iBasso, though.

You should be able to dump the files directly as if the player is simply another drive on the PC.  My folder structure on the PC is by genre and artist, too.  I can't imagine using FLAC files (or any other file) without folders on the PC.
