XPT100 had better dynamics compared to CAL. really hard to give you precise sound characteristic comparison since I don't have them right now.

You will be hard-pressed to find a significant upgrade to the Creative Aurvana Live! within your budget.

I can also recommend DT150 if you want better mids, lows. they are certainly a flagship killer, more like a closed hd650 imo, but you must have a decent amp to drive it.

Hey man, how do the CALs compare to the Yamaha MT220 WITHOUT an amp/DAC?
