Are we talking the same Trinity Delta?  As far as I know - the only pair I've seen on Amazon has been a used pair.  They have only just (almost) finished shipping the Kickstarter orders - so I really doubt you could have purchased a genuine Trinity Delta 3 weeks ago form Amazon.

Also - the genuine one's cord is designed in such a way that it would be unlikely to fail like that - especially at the strain relief.  Can you post pictures?
I got my delta's from Amazon at least 3 weeks ago. There were many in stock because the price went up shortly after.

Thanks for that.  Guess I was a bit surprised given proximity to KS timing - but probably makes sense that when the manufacturing was finished, some went to Amazon as well.

  ...
Here's two shots - the close-up is blurry but you can see the bare wire.

It's a shame, I *love* the sound of these.

As far as build quality goes, I'll that will be my only concern as well. The strain relief is too short while the earpiece is rather smooth, which kind of encourage people to pull the earpiece out from the ear by the cable, and that can lead to failure eventrually. Not a problem for careful user, but not everyone is so careful.

Seems true.. Hyperion is only IEM I tend to pull the earpiece out to remove from the ear by the cable. Thing is just so tiny and so slick.

+1 on the strain relief and needs to be improved. Even though I'm very careful with my IEMs, mine also has frayed cable but I pushed the cable inside the strain relief and dropped some super glue on it. The strain relief should be much longer and thicker. I hope Bob will take of it on the next batches.
