Hi all,
 
I am trying to correct the weakest point in my system. If you can offer recommendations I would love to hear them.I currently have the following in my system:
 
Yulong A100 amp
Wyred 4 sound DAC 1
mac mini
Amarra SQ
HiFI Man 500 phones
Cardas EM5318 IEM
 
 
My system sounds okay but of course would love it to sound better. I am not sure what my next move is. Should I upgrade the amp or the source next? Considering a new amp because the IEM have a pretty substantial buzz.
 
I listen to HD tracks and spotify premium mostly through this system.

The IEMs are probably buzzing because the gain on the amp is too high. Trying to find an amp that can do a good job driving both the HE-500 and the Cardas IEMs is going to be a challenge.

thanks for getting back with me, That's what i figured. I am looking at the Bryston BH-1 or the Woo Audio 6,7 series. What do you think?

I think the Bryston would probably be great for the HE-500, but I don't know about the IEMs - the gain seems pretty high. I'm not sure about the WA6 - it has an impedance switch, but I'm not sure what the gain is. I think the WA7 would probably work for both - although I heard a very inefficient headphone on the WA7 and it really wasn't enough - but this was a pair of modded headphones that really only sounded good on the Ray Samuels Dark Star, which is a beast of an amp.

I would probably email Woo Audio - they'll tell you what they think.
