Hi everyone,
I am looking for a good DAC with good value for the money in the 1200-1300€ (+-1500$) new/700€ (+- 850$) used range. I am primarily looking to buy used.
I will be using this dac with Sennheiser HD650 headphones with my Lehmann Black Cube Linear headphone amp.
Can anyone recommend me a good DAC? I was already looking at the following DACs: Benchmark (DAC-1), schiit gugnir (800€ new), Metrum octave (mk I and mk II) and the Chord quteHD. I would much appreciate other suggestions for DAC's, advice on the ones I am already looking at or all other forms of help. Currently I am quite lost with all the different dacs available, different reviews online etc.... I am relatively new to HiFi audio, but I do have a well trained ear so I can hear all the differences between pieces of equipment, being a musician myself.
I would also be open for a streamer instead DAC of a but I guess I would just get less value for my money if I go that way and value for the money is quite important for me at this pricepoint. I tried a Linn Majik DS that was very impressive, but I can't afford it unfortunately.
