Hello!

I have been lurking on this site for quite a while since I am looking for new music only headphones which are over-ear, doesn't really mater if open/closed.

I want to make things sorted out, so here we go:

Budget: 100$ (But you know, if there are awesome ones for 110$, I wouldn't mind)

Source: Mainly dekstop motherboard and phone (Galaxy S3 Mini) and maybe, maybe some DAC in the future.

Isolation: Not really needed, I guess people around wouldn't mind really much

Tonal balance: I am not so experienced to know what exactly would fit me, I am no bass head, but if I had to choose, I would rather go with over-bassed instead of no bass at all (I don't mind if there is slightly more bass)

Other headphones: Corsair Vengeance 2100, you know, for gaming, they fit me nicely for games.

So far my favorites are: Superlux HD681EVO and Audio-Technica ATH-T500/T400. These are probably not the best headphones for that price, that is why I am asking you for help.

If I missed something, or did any mistakes, please tell me, I will fix asap.

The 681 Evo definitely has strong and abundant bass, there is no doubt on that. I really enjoy mine. They are definitely a 'fun' can, for what it's worth. And since you're looking at open, you might also look at the Takstar HI-2050 and TS-671 and the Senn HD558 (which should just about be within budget at current pricing). Other people will come along with more suggestions. Good Luck!

  Takstar Pro 80
Superlux HD668B

Thanks! Do you know any difference between the HD668B and the 681 Evo? And if the HD668Bs are better, how would you compare them to Takstar HI-2050?

Thank you for all the options, I will be researching them. Just wondering, the TS-671 have 120Ohms, isn't that too much for phone/motherboard?
The HI-2050 seem to be better rated than the TS-671, I think I might go with them, but I will wait for more sugestions and will do more research.
This might be quite stupid since they are differend headphones, but is there any way you could compare the Evos and the HI-2050? Thanks.

HI2050 and TS-671 are not the best headphones for your genres. I don't know the difference between the EVO's and 668B.

Nice, thanks, apparently the EVOs are more bassy as serman005 stated. I might go with them, thank you.

668B tends on the brighter side of the ledger, while the Evo is a more bass-emphasized can. Both are good, it just depends on how you like things voiced.

Okay, thanks, as EDMaddict stated, the Superfluxes are apparently better for my genres than the Takstar. I will probably take the EVOs or 688Bs.

What headphones have you tried and liked?
