Basically this will be my setup in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use my headphone out and my optical out at the same time? Not much else to say, a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Thanks in advance!

If the HP section is active at the same time as speaker outputs normally, I suspect it would work.. although you may find a degree of latency between both optical out and analogue. Depending on the Modi/Magni stacks latency, it could be either way.

Edit- If you can use the speaker output instead of HP out for the amp and shaker, it will definately work in that configuration.. On page 37 of the Z's manual available here-

"Advanced Features Settings
  1. Play stereo mix to digital output Select the checkbox to down mix the audio with its effects to a stereo PCM stream to be channeled to digital output.

Note You must first select "Speaker" as the playback device to use this feature."

Wow thanks for the detailed reply! I hardly ever RTFM but I suppose it could have benefited me this time. I hesitate using the "Speaker" as the playback device because I've had a better experience using the headphone out instead. I'm worried this is going to be something that I'm going to have to experiment with when I get it.
