Hi guys,

I used to have my Denon D7000 headphones connected to my PC through an Asus Xonar Essence STX. Although, I've recently switched over to an iMac, therefore I'm in need of a good headphone amp/dac to use with it.

I ain't really a "sound guy", thus I don't really trust myself when buying sound equipment as I'm not the most well informed guy in regards to sound. I have (after inquirying some friends whom are more well informed regarding sound equipment) narrowed down my choice between the Denon DA-300USB and the Fostex HP-A4.

The headphones + DAC will not be used in any proffessional way. I'll primarily use them for music in FLAC format and some gaming, possibly for watching movies too. I'll also be using Windows 8 (through Bootcamp), therefore I'll need the DAC to function with both Windows and OS X without any hassel.

Which one would you recommend? The price of these two are basically the same here in Sweden, so that dosen't need to be taken into consideration.
