Sennheiser's IE800 or Shure's SE846

If I prefer the Shure 5xx series over the Westone 4 series, then would I prefer the Shure SE846 over the IE800?

I prefer the slightly more apparent mid-range in the Shure versus the neutral Westone 4s.   So, based on the discussion so far in this tread, I'd probably prefer to stay with the Shure brand and get the SE846 instead of the IE800s.

Does that comparison make sense?

No, not at all.  The IE800 is a complete different animal and offers an insane amount of more treble detail and soundstage size than either of the other two.

Also, I would not consider IE800 mid-centric.  If anything, it's more U-shaped.  If you are a detail freak, the IE800 destroys the other 2 by a mile.  If you are more into bass, warmth and lushness the Westone or Shure are the better choices.
