I have just had delivery of my AK240. I'm over the moon with the quality of the sound more than i can ever verbally explain. I have my Shure SE846s as my primary inear phones.  I have my music on the player. Ok heres the thing, how do i know if my music is DSD or not ?   There is a DSD tab but when i look into it there is no DSD music there , there is a tab for all music and that is where it all is. Not sure whats happening , prob due to my inexperience with DSD. Does anyone know the AK240 who can give me some pointers ?

Thanking you Endeavour

If you go to the screen that shows the track that is currently playing, it will show a progress bar, above this are details of the current position, total length and file sampling and bit rate. A DSD file will show as DSD. My AK240 came loaded with some sample tracks in the Sample folder, the Bach Concerto, Vivaldi Concerto, Scarlatti Sonata, Mahler album and Touched by Tango are all DSD files.
By the way, there are 2 threads dedicated to the ak240 in the Portable Source Gear thread, those threads are likely to get more attention than a new one in the High end forum.
Cheers

Hi folks,
apologies if this is going over old ground but I have just acquired an AK240 and I loaded her up with all my DFF ,DSD, type files and they don't play!
It just sits and doesn't play but it will play my WAV and FLAC files
Please can someone give me some help and help remove the feeling that I've bought a faulty player
The artwork for the track shows fine and it looks as though it should start playing but doesn't
The time line always has 537:06:35 at the end if that helps???

Thanks in advance
