I don't even know how I'd do that, the Vali takes RCA inputs. I use my Steinburg UR22 as the DAC since I do recordings.

Well i have a bunch of these:

......so I can hook up my favorite amps to iPhones, DAPs, iPads, computers, the Dragonfly, or anything else with a 3.5mm output

Thanks. It's great that you are loving that combo so much. Unfortunately for me the dragonfly + extender + jitterbug add up to $214US at amazon.com (oh, and with Canadian exchange we're up to $275CN). While I'm sure that it's worth it (and it's still much less than the Mojo), it does compel me to look around a bit more and keep my eyes in the for sale forum.

Regardless, thanks again for those impressions!

A friend of mine reminded me about the Zuperdac which costs $75US:

It uses the well regarded ESS9018K2M chip, and looks promising (hopefully sounds promising as well!):

I'll let you know how it goes :)

I'm tempted to snag one, but honestly the DF does so well I think I'm set. The thing with the Hawk is they don't need a lot of extra oomph, just a small boost. The Vali pairing is just godly to my ears.

Do not get the Mojo just for the NH, it makes NH very aggressive- totally change of character (something like a th900) - much prefer the IDSD Micro to Mojo for Nighthawk

I have not heard the Mojo with the NightHawk's but the iDSD Micro works very well.

A friend of mine has the Mojo and the NH, maybe having lunch with him today and can ask his opinion of the setup.  I heard it briefly one time and was impressed, but then again I gravitate to a darker, less fatiguing sound to begin with.

  The new 5.1 Gelato version.

Ok, I just tried both the 5.0 and 5.1, (IMHO) 5.0 is more bass heavy, 5.1 is upper mids and bass heavy (like mojo) , I have reverted to the original 4.04
