Hi Everyone,

I have a Pioneer Elite A35-R two channel amp and I want to upgrade the power cable. The connector on the back is a C7-P:

I was interested in upgrading the cable, but all cable upgrades, adapters, etc., seem to be made for regular, non-polarized C7 sockets:

My receiver has the squared, C7-P socket, but a non-polarized C7 figure-8 would fit in there. Since these other cables will be 3 prong and not 2 prong can I proceed with using the non-polarized cable in the polarized slot? Another option is an adapter like this:

And then use one of my Quail power cables in there. This is rated at 10A, 125V. My amp requires 145W at 120V. The adapter above is made by SF Cable. Pangea Audio makes an adapter for using traditional PC power cables (like the one pictured above), but theirs is either $20 or $30 (for cryo) and is non-polarized. The adapter above is 5 dollars on Amazon, lol.

I don't care about the price and would like to get a PS Audio jewel power cable (the power punch cables with the c7-p connector are hard to find), but the PS Audio cable is a non-polarized C7, so I could either get that (if it'll work) or the above adapter and one of my Quail cables. WHEW! Any help is greatly appreciated!
