  Hey, guys
I just received my ES version this afternoon. I had written a impression thread in Chinese. I compared T2 with UE TF10 and KEF M200.
English version is coming soon

ES version of... what?

Just to give you guys a simple outline
1. T2 is not good at bass. The bass sounds very weak. It feels like that bass is far away.
2. The resolution is quite good, but the sound is kind of "thin."
3. The vocal and high are in the same level as TF10.
4. Many people suggest that T2 needs an amp to realize its full potential.

In addition:
T2 PRO is also coming, PRO version has improved unit for high. (Same unit in AKG K3003)
according to their headphone engineer, T2 pro is more suitable with iPhone.
My impression is based on an engineering sample. 300 headphones in the first batch are all ES, but they come with life time warranty.

Update:
After 30 hours of use, the bass improved a bit.

Ohho nice! You are lucky to receive it : )

Hmm... how much burn in on your T2? I dunno about how burn in affects BAs but pretty sure about dynamics as I've always noticed changes in freq response. Bass should get better with more hours put on it.

Or... maybe TTPOD will release T2E? Just a speculation. You say that T2Pro emphasizes better highs but what about lows!?  Make sure that you report bass issue to TTPOD and force 'em to increase amount at least to acceptable levels.

Sorry to bother but one question.... how do they look in real? From the pics everyone is drooling here. And any pricing info on T2Pro?

Pity to hear about the bass. The bass on the T1-E was what it pretty special to me.

Could you clarify a bit about the unit? The balanced armature is the same one used in the akg k3003 for highs?

Thanks for all the info.

The T2 uses ED29689 (same one in ER4B) for their high, and the T2 pro will use 30017(same one in K3003) for high

Yes, I do realize that a dynamic driver is responsible for the low, which could be the reason for weak base, but after I received the headphone, their customer service called me immediately. They told me that the bass could be weak. They do know that the base is weak.
I had only used it for few hours, hope the base will improve over time.

Thank you for all this info, Justin!  Definitely, see if burn in going to improve the bass.  I have a feeling T2 might have focused more on quality rather than quantity of bass in this one.  Will see, I guess.  Also, I noticed you are using all tips with a wider bore opening.  Perhaps you can try tip rolling using a small bore tips - those usually attenuate high frequencies to balance it out better with lows.
