Dunu TITAN Series (new for 2019: Titan 6) [Page 196]

I think the Titan 1 is somewhat bright, but not in any way that is annoying or harmful (no strong spikes). As for the PS210, the Titan 1 is more revealing, as the PS210 can be a little thin in body in the midrange. However, the Titan 1 is less mid-forward. The Titan 1 is actually brighter overall because it has more high treble presence, but actually will feel less fatiguing because it seems to be less 'spiky'. I didn't do a direct comparison, but the S2, to me, lacks character. The Titan 1 is more exciting and involving.

Haven't done a direct A/B comparison, but I'd think the KC06 is a good point of reference for the Titans. Not only because both use titanium coating, but treble strikes me as similar in character, not annoyingly spiky, yet still very clear and a little edgy at times.

Thanks guys. KC06 bright wouldn't be bad. Hopefully more even though.

I'd trust that the Titan 1 offers better depth then the KC06? I really couldn't stand those........

Arrived in 3 days (from China to Turkey). Great shipping speed! Thanks for Penon Audio and Dunu for providing me an opportunity to review these beauties.

Titanium coated drivers needs long burn-in periods like bio-cellulose drivers (for my experience, YMMW). So these babies will get 200h before any review.

To address some of the people not liking the KC06 signature as is, they made the KC06A and also these...

...the OS100/200/300 filter tips.

James noting the similarity in character of the Ostry and Titan -1 therefore the tips should do just as well for the DUNU. If one finds them to bright for there liking, they can be tuned down a notch or two or three. Blue 100 for the most clarity and least bass enhancement then on to the Red 200 and the final black centered OS300. Tune the Titan -1 how you like. Also a bit better for some people since the Ostry tips are 9mm, 10mm, and 11mm long for S/M/L whilst the colored core Titan-1 stock tips are 7mm, 8mm, and 9mm long for S/M/L helping fit the Titan -1 with a bit more insertion depth. They are a more grippy silicone material also similar to the stock red core tips but thicker and somewhat firmer.

These are quality tips, both comfy and quality, and do just as described. Exact amounts of change will vary slightly of course since fit varies amongst different ears. i like the large blue OS100 tips. The DUNU can really thump down low with the black OS300 The Titan -1 is not very pricey at all and adding these on to the cost(another $12.98 shipped from Shenzenaudio) may well be worth it and you will have a bit more control over the Titan-1 sound.

**As with other front filtering attempts such as Phonak etc. you will find quieter volume with the denser OS100 tips and may need a few more notches depending on fit and device.

I really like the Spinfit tips on these for over the ear wear. It makes it much easier with their "rotating" stems (?)

If these could only sound like a mini hd800

Not quite. But they're still very good bang for the buck.
