 And what about the spinfits?

The spinfits didn't work for me. They made it more difficult to insert the Titans properly in my ears. As for the sound I Personally I feel they're best for IEMs with tiny nozzle holes like the stagedivers for example.

Glad you like it!

If you're having difficulty with seal, try the Sony mh1 tips. They go deeper plus you get more focused bass!

Sony hybrid right?

Nope. The Sony mh1 tips have longer stems that's why they can get in much deeper. Thus seal is better too.

Yeah what kind of music needs more bass with these things? It's already pushing it. But I do agree it could use a bit more punch in the low mids. I listen to a lot of sludge and doom metal and those downtuned guitars don't have quite the same impact as say my RE-600s. I think it's really due to that big soundstage, makes everything sound a bit more distant but not veiled or muffled.

That said, I love listening to Sunn o))) on the Titans, the detail and expansive soundstage makes it sound like the whole song is just enveloping you. Great bass response too.

awe sweet! 520RanchBro - could you throw in more comparisons with the re600? I've been missing out on something special when listening to Jucifer's Russian album - the sludge is missing some over saturated guitar mids! could the hifiman pull it off?

Ok, just got these in the mail and have had a quick listen.  Comfort is great but I feel that they do not seal well enough in the ears.  I have not tried the red and black tips yet or the black ones, just the ones with the multiple coloured innards. I thought these were the ones that people generally felt worked the best.   At the moment the highs are a little bit much and I am not sure about the seal.  I am running them off an ibasso dx50.  Anyone else running them off this dap and having luck?  They are very clear with good bass (when called on).  Just not blowing my skirt up at the moment

I had the same issue till I tried this:

Just listened to the "White Lies - Winter is Coming"  on Spotify (high quality streaming) and first of all thanks for getting me to listen to it, killer track! I haven't listened to Jucifer in a long time.

The bass punch of the Titans is insane on that song but I feel like the guitars lose a bit of their edge and sit lower in the mix. They don't sound scooped but the bass overpowers everything else. The RE-600s definitely have a better presence and edge to them, the guitars sound a bit more authoritative. I wish someone could just combine these two headphones. The bass, soundstage and clarity of the Titans with the mid and treble response of the RE-600, would be a near perfect headphone for me.

So ultimately, if you opt for the the RE-600s, guitars in a lot of sludge and doom will be more present and have a more natural edge and aggressiveness to them (although I think I like the Titans better with Sleep's Dopesmoker in every aspect). You won't quite have the same bass extension and rumble though, the Titans trounce the RE-600s in that. Overall for this Jucifer album, I like the RE-600 a bit more, it's more balanced and focused, making the music sound a bit more aggressive. The Titans have incredible bass response but the album just sounds a little darker than I'd prefer.

Once I finish my Titan review, I'll post another thread with a big shootout between them and the 600s. I'll be sure to link it here! If there's any other comparisons you'd like on that shootout, let me know!

Well, these certainly have a  different sound.  Needs to be a little warmer in the midrange for me.  There is nice bass response but sometimes the highs are a little too much.  Depending on the music, however.  Sometimes these sound just magical.  Live material can sound amazing.  I just sometimes feel that all of the frequencies are not "meshing" together well enough.  I have tried olive foamies (to tame the highs) as well as a number of silicon tips (to get a better seal).  As I only received these yesterday, I am hoping to get a better synergy with tip rolling soon (and wrapping my head around their sound sig). Possibly it is also my ibasso to blame (who knows!).  Definitely do not sound as good on my sansa clip or cowon d20 (in comparison to my dx50).  It is possibly due to their wide soundstage and open nature that I do not completely feel that I am getting a good enough seal with the tips.  More to follow.....

Interesting observations, I remember that feeling. I would encourage you to give them more time. I found that at first I felt the same but identified it as the large soundstage combined with spades of details.

Over time I have adjusted to the 'sitting in the middle of the band' feeling and have grown to absolutely adore it...

cheers, n05ey, I will do that.  They certainly sound very different to all the closed iems that I have.  Remarkably different to my ue superfi 5pros.  Those are very intimate in their sound.  And fuller.  Fortunately I love to try new things (hence my empty wallet
