Can you address the speed of the interface? I have heard that the X5 can take several seconds to switch songs. That would not work for me.

Also, as an iTunes user, am I required to put everything in folders? I abandoned that method years ago, and it would be nice to use something like iSyncr (android sync app) to transfer the music automatically.

Sorry, our household is iDevice-free so can't comment about that app.

Regarding song switching on X5 or X3 II or X1 - I have no idea where you heard that, and I personally never experienced it.  Interface is fast and robust.  The only issue right now with X3 II is that it skips first few seconds of the song as you turn it on and start playing.  I have no doubt it will be addressed with official FW release since we are still on FW 0.18 Beta.

You gonna find it paired up really well with brighter tuned IEMs.  Excellent with A83 hybrid, so I assume DN2k will follow the same way

... I assume it will pair well to with my Westone 4r ... w/o amp ?!

No complaints here with W40 and UM Pro 50

i heard somewhere that they will double the size of X1. seems it was not true.

How does the fiio x3ii behave when displaying songs if their filenames starts with tracknumber?
Is it the same with fiio x1 "tracknumber title" or does it not read the tracknumber and went straight to the song title?

You can set to display tag (Title) or physical filename

After that it depends on how you've set up your tags or file naming.

On X1, the "file name display" option only affects the naming on the currently "now playing" song. It doesn't affect how the songs are ordered on the "all songs" category,
How is it on X3? On "all songs" category does it still go 01 - title like this

Is there a big difference between the old X3 and the new X3 in terms of sound sig??

Huge. I have the 1st gen, and am currently reviewing the 2nd. 2nd is less mid-forward... more neutral from bass to treble. Tighter bass, more extended treble. Wider soundstage, more air, textured... As soon as I can get a hold of my own X3 2nd gen, the original is going on the auction block!

Interesting to hear that.. I think it is worth upgrading. Thanks bro!
