Back to this thread awhile, I believe many here like the zx2 signature. Recently I purchased the kse1500, paired with the zx2, it's fantastic. I don't even bother putting a mojo in between as there is almost no gain and you lose the zx2 signature.

I haven't gotten around to reading audionewbi's review yet but does kse1500 have any of the shure house signature or it is completely different being electrostatic?

It feels different. Feels more like a electrostate sound signature, which is more airy, neutral and fast punchy bass which to some can be too little

Analog. Kse1500 internal dac is decent but not at the level like zx2. But really, once u remove amp for the equation, zx2 is darn good really

I doubt anything can replace my Th900 with silver cables lol...it is the best headphones that I have had so far. I was able to analyze music and details like never before...and with Zx2, it was still "super-musical"...

There is nothing out there can offer better quality and sensitivity than th900 ATM....I want new DAP :D lol

Have you tried using it with the PHA3? Sounded like a major upgrade to me...

I think he like many of us want a one device solution, freedom from damn cables.
