Dear All, in particular @Polaraudio and @Beyerdynamic.

Some of you may have noticed I have not been around recently, and I wanted a chance
to explain why and apologise to Beyer publically

I was part of the Beyer A200 loan/tour scheme, as I stopped using an Iphone earlier in the year I leant it someone in the media who was already an audiophile, big on headphones and has an iphone.

He took ages to give me any info, then in that same week I finally got it back, my Dad needed triple heart by pass and I was diagnosed with cancer.

A bit of a shock to say the least, life literally froze.

Well a few months later and dad is on the mend and it looks like so am I. It is a form
of skin cancer that had been growing in me for probably over 20 years. Everyone including me thought it was a mole, and when I first got it checked out I too thought it was mole on my shoulder that had gone bad, it wasn't – it was just a pure lump of cancer.
So a few ops and many appointments later and we think it has gone, but I was so mentally shook
up during that period I found it hard to do anything, just about keeping it together at home and at work. I told very few people , only 2, just didn't want to talk about it all the time, yet it was all
I could think about.

So what has helped me through these dark days, yes, MUSIC, never before have I appreciated the emotional escape it can give. An HM-901 with DT1350s and for a while I can forget and be calm.
Never underestimate the powers of music. I have used a lot of my time off work listening, and also buying too much stuff to keep a smile on my face.

So really sorry Beyer and Polar, the A200 and DTX501 (both bloody brilliant btw, the wife is devasted the headphones have to go back, the only portable she has ever liked!, and I have some
arsenal to choose from) Both are on their way to Sussex for the attn of Thomas Walsh, please forgive me.

I definitely have a new lease, and view of, life. I have started a new band, started recording again,
and definitely know it's time to change career, you lovely people will be hearing more of this.

I have started catching up with hundreds of missed threads, not a lot has changed has it!

SO please keep an eye on your body , look for changes, map your markings, get your partner to check the parts you can't see.

Tim
