Don't you mean prawns? I'm pretty Aussies don't to refer to them as shrimps.

In a not so desperate attempt to retain my Straylia legacy I suggest you check this video..

Shrimps? What are shrimps? I'll have myself some prawns instead. G'day.

Just ending our conversation quickly

We would not call them shrimps in Australia usually. Its all part of Paul Hogan's catch phrase which seemed to stand the test of time here. If I was to order Chinese food I would ask for curried prawns not curried shrimps, but as Australian slang and culture the phrase lives on like G'day, fair dinkum. 'Hand me a VB mate' (Beer)

That's what I figured, but I just wanted to drag it on. Hehe. Let's all put some shrimps on the barbie and wash it down with a Fosters, Australian for beer.

No "fair dinkum" self respecting Aussie would ever be caught drinking Fosters. It's the **** we export to places like Brooklyn, NY.

I've never met anyone in the US that drinks Fosters.  I don't even know why they ship it here.

Anyway, around here it's viewed upon the same level as bud, miller, and coors.

Fosters used to be heavily imported and advertised in the U.S. in the 90s. I don't believe that's the case anymore though.

Probably because it tasted to close to bud, miller, and coors.
