And the housing reminds me of the Audio Technica CKS series too

Well won't be released in india for sure.
But i think eph-100 looked much much better than this.It looks cheap compared to that.

price of around 170, more in-line with the MSRP instead of that 225

I hate to say it, but the design is very outdated and somewhat cheap looking. It looks more like a $50 headphone than a $150 one.

Most possibly Yamaha is trying to appeal to the mass public especially the younger generations and going after Beats' market share. Hopefully their sound tuning is miles better than Beats

They should have focused on being unique instead of evoking the style of another brand. 

Agreed the average crowd also loves oodles of bass,just hope yamaha dosen't go the way of lower sennheiser like cx 300 and 400.

Now that eph-200 is out,they should reduce price of eph -100.

Agreed. Was a big fan of EPH-100 before. See how they go with the new models

Well, you can get them at Amazon at $99 right now. To be honest, they're much better looking.

Went to aliexpress.
All eph 100 listed at 32-40$ with sellers having good feedback.I think all are fake.
