Sennheiser Momentums - perfect, but too small. What's the alternative?

Hey guys -

Sorry, this is probably a relatively common post but I didn't see anything from searching. Likely that's my search skills.

Anyway, I want to switch from my now-stolen IE8s (that gave me ear infections) with sleeves to an over ear setup in the same budget range (£200-£300, $300-450ish). I loved Sennheiser Momentums, but I have a big head and big ears.

What should I look at that's similar before I risk being annoyed long term with my over ears not going over my ears?

Thanks!

I was just thinking about this earlier today - how small the "circumaural" Momentums are.  They're not the only ones like that (the Sony Eggos come to mind), though obviously there are many that are bigger.

Anyhow, the Sony MDR-R1 and 1A are meaningfully bigger than the Momentums.  Not huge, but will give your ears much more space than the Momentums.  I prefer the Sonys to the Momentums,  which I just got, though am likely to return at some point.  They do sound different - dunno which you'll prefer more.  But all quality cans in this price range.

I'm sure others will chime in with more examples.

Best,

Thanks Jason!

I'm trying to put together a shortlist, but it does seem quite hard to find similar, but bigger, to the Momentum - Focal Spirit One and MDR-1A's look interesting, but I'm a big fan of Sennheiser as a customer (their warrenty dept were great when I needed them, and I like their build quality and sound). B&O Beoplay H6 also look interesting... especially the Pepsi cheapo ones!
