Hi, recently I just noticed Symphonized NRG Premium Genuine Wood earphone:
http://www.amazon.com/Symphonized-Premium-Genuine-Noise-isolating-Headphones/dp/B00C30FCUI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411416285&sr=8-1&keywords=Symphonized+NRG+Premium+Genuine+Wood

have a very good review and cheap. Is there anyone who heard both monoprice 8320 and this one and give some comments?

Thanks very much!

Well well well, good timing on your part.

I typically use Apple Earbuds with my phone, mainly because I just want something cheap that has a remote/mic. I had two pairs break within the past couple weeks, so I needed something else. I've had the 8320s for months, but never really used them because the lack of remote/mic really was a deal breaker for me. I didn't have much of a choice, so for the past week I was forced to thoroughly use the 8320s until I found another pair.

Personally, I kind of hate the 8320s. They sound great, but the way they fit it your ears is really odd to me and I could never get a good seal. I rarely have problems with earbuds/IEMs fitting in my ears, but this ones just kept falling out. I was looking to upgrade ASAP.

I stumbled across the Symphonized NRGs on Amazon, and pulled the trigger since they had solid reviews and were only $25. I was surprised I didn't get any results when I searched for them on here. I got them yesterday and I'm really enjoying them so far. They fit great, and are the most comfortable IEM I've personally used (though I haven't used many). I'd say they sound similar to the 8320s, and because these ones have a better seal (in my case), they sound better. I'm not a true audiophile so I won't even attempt to critique the details of them, but they definitely sound good and they're a good pickup for $25.

Also look into the Xiaomi Pistons if you haven't already, supposedly solid phones around the same pricepoint. I stumbled across them a couple days ago and I'm considering getting them too.

Hi, Willryan,
Thank you so much for reply. I'm also surprise that almost no one here use Symphonized.
I totally agree 8320 is hard to fit the ear. I use the largest fitting. I have few questions:
1. You should burn-in them. Maybe after 50 hours burnin or listen, them compare.
2. I wonder what's the sound signature of Symphonized? 8320 is balanced, quite clear, even a little bit cold and very solid bass. How about Symphonized? Is it warm or cold? How about the low end? How about their analysis and soundstage? 8320 has great analysis and soundstage.
3. I'm not sure of Xiaomi. I don't why it's highly recommended here. I'm a Chinese. I read several reviews of Xiaomi from Chinese websites. It's not that good. It seems it's better for pop music and not classical/symphony. I almost only listen to classical. 8320 is pretty good to listen to symphony.

Are you sure those vendors are selling genuine ones?

They seem like a really good warm iem for the price in the measurements (although i haven't tried them myself)

Hi, Zunehdrocks,
I didn't buy xiaomi before. What I read are reliable review articles from website. I think they should review genuine ones.
Thanks for bring my attention to its frequency response. From the chart, it should be a good warm earphones. But I think one cannot get everything from the chart. For example, the chart of ue 600 looks better than 8320,

http://www.innerfidelity.com/images/Monoprice8320.pdf

But 8320 is obviously better than ue600 for me. It has more details than ue600 and larger soundstage.

I'm pretty sure the extra detail and soundstage you're hearing is partly due to the overall brighter tilt of the 8320 (which is shown on the graph). It also has an upper mid range spike which may or may not be a big deal in this case. If you don't like the somewhat laid back highs in the ue600, you probably won't like it on the xiaomi piston.

Are you currently using any headphone amp?
If so, the havi b3 pro 1 may be a contendor

Could you show me how to know the overall brighter tilt from the graph and why it gives more details and soundstage?
I'm a new hand. :)
Thank you very much!

The brighter tilt refers to the larger amount of treble up from around 3 khz and up. The very high frequencies around 15khz+ generally give sparkle (or harshness in excess) and "air" (which can be described as soundstage) to the sound. Brighter headphones tend to be more detailed (more forgiving headphones tend to have laid back highs)
