  Thanks! this is good news!

Also, keep in mind that third party cables, made for other known "A" brand, must work without problems

Such as? I didn't find any…

One example of many... http://forzaaudioworks.com/en/product.php?id_product=81 (choose Audeze from the drop down)

You will find a beginning of answer to your questions by reading the entire Russian forum devoted to the Kennerton Odin.

I am having so much fun right now reading Google Translate's version of that thread. :) I still have my doubts over how the high sensitivity of these headphones will interact with tubes, but am eager to hear them nonetheless with an open mind.

I heard about the Odin first in http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/big-sound-2015-roy-romaz-nails-it#CLSoaGwce8badhxc.97 and investigated them a little more. But there were no data about weight etc. to judge comfort at longer listening sessions. In a email Kennerton told me 800g or 770g on the head. Likely a problem!

holy hell... that is heavier than the heaviest planar magnetic on the market right now (lcd-xc at 650 grams).

this would be something I would have expected to pop up in unbiased critical reviews. pretty significant weight for long-term listening. I know many people who get fatigued with the 440 grams of the old HE-400.

The JPS-Abyss weighs 660 g (without cable). Many people accept the weight of the Abyss (a little less for its aesthetics, a little medieval

Maybe the weight in one headphones planar, is a guarantee of sound quality with a better rigidity; more powerful magnets giving better dynamics in the bass?

For many in France, the quality of the bass of the odin would have nothing to envy to that of the Abyss (speed, definition and impact), yet one of the global references.

Otherwise, close to twenty of Odin have already been ordered in France; first deliveries expected in the second half of September. Many returns should have places in different forums; the question of weight and comfort of the Odin will be surely raised, if it were to be a real problem.

Otherwise, it seems hard to imagine that Tyll Hersens do ignore the Kennerton Odin: its qualities appear obvious, compared against two headphones (planar) Tyll very fond (LCD-X and LCD3F) with a similar price.

The future will tell !

A couple of years ago the same weight  issue was being said of the Audezes!
I made the same comment then-you'll get used to them! Once used for a time ,the weight issue will not be a problem(neck injury issues aside)I was using the HD800s and LCD3s side by side -no problem!

Tyll's mega review- strange mix!  May have been more relevant a review if he were to compare products of a similar nature or price group. Why for instance, compare the Teton to the Woo234 why not use the Pinnacle? Or, if you like the Odin, then a mega review of all suitable Amps to pair with it would be more relevant?? But as I write this I note six different Ads appear beneath what I'm writing !!!! What's the driving force??

Yeah I mentioned this in my Canjam impressions of the Odin. When you pick it up, it weighs a ton. However, I think they've done an excellent job with the headband design as I really didn't notice the weight when wearing the headphones, certainly not in an Audeze kind of way.

Having said that, clever headband or not, it remains to be seen if that kind of weight on your noggin is something that can be tolerated for extended listening sessions.

No problem, because -->  http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/post178624749.html#p178624749

Edit : dub, on HCFR, said:
IMHO, it is extremely dependent on the adjustment:
If the pads are too high or too low, the weight will be perceived as "crushing" the ears
If the pressure of headband is too strong, likewise, it will give an impression of weight (if we too unscrew the knobs, the setting does not)

we must find the right balance and the best comfort  (in adjustment) - then, that it is not the most comfortable of the world headphones, that it could not compete with a HD800, or an K812 etc, it is true: but it is less a matter of weight than configuration (adjustment).

Otherwise: for you, what is the best system of port of these two "heavy" headphones, to distribute, at best, the pressure on the top of the skull?

Actually its numbers with cable. 660g without cable attached, and 760 with it.
