Hi everyone. I've been looking for a pair of headphones for a while and I've come across this website. You appear to be well informed, so hopefully you don't mind if I ask for a recommendation.

I'm looking for a headphones which are lightweight, good looking and over-ear. My budget is £100/$170 but I would be willing to go slightly beyond that for a more ideal pair.

My music tastes include film and game soundtracks, Drum and Bass, Chillstep and various other electronic style genres. I'll also occasionally use these headphones for movies and YouTube.

Please ask if you need any more details, and excuse my terseness, the original post I wrote was lost after I needed to login again.

Thank you very much for your help, I look forward to your recommendations.

Sennheiser HD558 or AKG K612 would be my recommendations for neutral-ish full-size open headphones for your tastes, though I don't know how good looking you might find them.

Otherwise for stylish closed on-ear headphones there's the V-Moda M80, B&W P3 and the Audio Technica M40x. Full size closed perhaps the AKG K550/551 or the original Creative Aurvana Live. V-Moda LP if you simply want a lot of bass.

If you are not averse to modding a headphone then you can get some mighty good performance out of a Fostex T50RP. Like better than everything I've mentioned so far level of performance. But it will require some work.
