I'll pick the black album... At least for "Sad but True"

Unfortunately, you do have to get the whole black album, because you DO have to have that song, the last cool song they wrote. Sad, but true...

Yes, I've seen them live and I know.

but I thought the songs were pretty bad and the musicianship was awful. The 2 chords got boring after a bit. And the sound quality was bad as well, especially the drums. And the vocals were wretched. Sounded like the vocalist gargled with Drano.

What was the name of the albums Fly on the Wall, Blow up Your Video ? Those two for some reason are exactly like how you describe... That's only 2 of 17 of their albums. I feel the Pre 80 AC/DC (w/ Bon Scott) and Brian Johnson on BIB kicks you in the balls with the vocals. After about '85 Johnson has lost his voice.

I thought the Sex Pistols were way better for that genre of music, not punk per se, but the energy and sense of humor.

The Sex Pistols ?

Anyway, Beagle atleast you have your opinion and give reasons I can understand that cause there isn't too many people that LIKE EVERYTHING in music.

As much as I love both of these bands I gotta vote for the Black album. In my opinion, it is one of the best albums in the history of music period! I don't see how anyone who has a pair of Klipsch, or Grados can see it any other way. Now, flame me PLEASE.

That's the best part of this hobby. Everybody has their own tastes. To quote Vertigo-1's signiture: "Different strokes for different folks."
Oh yeah, glad you didn't flame me.

I voted Black Album even though I think the earlier Metallica albums are way better in almost every area (Ride the Lightning being the absolute best IMO). Even with this in mind I think Metallica beats out AC/DC with sheer variation, all of AC/DCs stuff sounds so similar. Don't get me wrong, I love AC/DC, but Metallica is more interesting. IMO of course.

But Guns N' Roses is still way better than both of them.
