I am trying to decide between the Centrance Hifi-M8 and the Cyber Labs Theorem 720.
I have listened to the Cyber Labs Theorem 720, which I thought was good, but I have not listened to the Hifi-M8.
Here are a few things that factor into my decision:
1. I would like to pair the DAC with a pair of Audeze LCD-2's.
2. I would also be using the DAC when listening to music on my computer (all FLAC), so I would require a dedicated line-out to use the device as a pure DAC.
3. Sound quality takes precedence over portability.
3. I generally prefer a "warmer" sound to one that is neutral.
With these factors in mind, which DAC should I go for?
Also, I am a little confused about the outputs on the Hifi-M8 - can the "combo" output be used as a dedicated line-out? Can I plug into it a 3.5mm mini-jack cable?
Thanks!
Daniel
