How good is the battery life? (If I remember correctly iFi nano has a never-ending battery)  Can you charge it while playing?

I find my Oppo HA-2 to be pretty pocket friendly, even stacked with the A17, but the weight makes my pants fall down

Depends on the gain setting, roughly 6 hours with Turbo mode, 9 hours for Normal mode and 12 hours with Eco mode. With T1, you probably can settle for Normal mode. The only way to charge the micro iDSD when using is that you connect a powered USB hub between the A10 and micro iFi, so it isn't exactly a portable setup anymore.

This is more of a messager bag friendly rig rather than a pocket friendly rig, I'll say.

I just bought one from Amazon (seller is mitch___). Although he was only doing domestic shipping he kindly shipped one to New Zealand for me. I saw your comment and asked him if he would ship to Mexico, he said he can - he intends to add an international shipping option soon, but for now you can use the contact seller option to arrange shipping.

Question for those with Sony knowledge:
I am soon due for a new phone and thinking about the Sony Z5 Premium. Do you think it would as good as an A17 for playback? With a new plan and trade-in/credit, the price will likely be in the $200.00ish range.
Or are the phones more "stripped down" players?

PS: Had a chance to buy a Fiio X3ii on the weekend for $160.00. Killer deal and I was going to go for it, but then I realized I really want the A17 (even though it will be double that for a new one with taxes).
Unless the phone idea is workable...

I'll really suggest those who has access to Taobao get the same cable from there, as it saves quite a bit of money.

I can speak for Z2 and Z3+ (a.k.a Z4) that the SQ is quite compatible to A10 series headphone-out. They can do 24/192, HSEE (upsampling) and EQ just as well as A10.

I looked into the Taobao option but it seemed a bit of an ordeal to go through a buyer, and the estimated shipping added a a lot - so I thought it was better to have the confindence of an Amazon purchase. It is a lot for a cable, but it will be an important link in my audio chain.

Yep, Taobao is location dependent. I pay a typical shipping for only US$5.5 for anything under 1kg + free consolidation and usually get it within a week, which is pretty great.

That's cheap and fast. I had to cancel my Sony A15 silicon case from Rakuten (Japanese site) because the actual shipping was about triple the quoted cost so I wasn't confident to try Taobao/buyer.

It will be a couple of weeks before I receive my Sony wm-port to Oppo ha-2 usb cable, can anyone please comment on the difference between using the A15 with the Oppo's dac vs it's amp section?

you cn ask clieOS for it, i use mine only for amping, first i will get the ZX100, then the 200GB card and some time later the cable
