Rockbox for iBasso DX90 dual boot with Mango (Stock Firmware)

That's the beauty or curse of having more options/controls. I modded the default settings according to my preference. I have to do a lot of flashing and don't want to worry about the GUI settings every time I do it.

That doesn't look too bad.  Perhaps I'll give that a try.

I also found that you can easily change some of the display behavior in: Settings > General Settings > Display > LCD Settings

Particularly useful is changing the setting marked "First Buttonpress Enables Backlight Only" to "Yes."  This makes the UI far less frustrating.

Like pegasus21, I too found that the backlight timings are way off.  pegasus21 found that it took double the amount of time for his screen to turn off.  Mine takes triple the amount of time.  For example, I have my backlight set to switch off after 2 seconds, but it actually takes a full 6 seconds.

OMG I dont know how I missed this one, but I think I love you!!
This was probably the only thing that was  bothering me (apart from the known crackling thing).

Oh my... with some of the options suggested here by jj69 about the backlight and nmatheis about the line padding, I think this is very usable now.

*Edit* Ok, I think I found another issue.

Turning on automatic resume when you have a database causes the player to go into panic when you try to play a track either from resuming or files.

That's awesome! I love it, I add +2 bass, it just my type. :)

It has two problems to me. It can not show Korean, and can not play .dsf file. Do you have a plan to fix that?

I don't think Rockbox plays DSD files. Hi-res files (including DSD) is useless anyway (Rockbox downsamples hi-res PCM files on the fly).

Dang you, headwacker et al! I do not need more temptation.

Really I am too deep into the M to jump at this just now - although I did always say that I would seriously consider the DX90 once Rockbox is working...  :)

I am very impressed by your efforts. Bravo!

I understand. :) anyway, I found another problem- some album has white noise that has not with stock firm.  the album's bit rate is 24/176. only this album has noise. maybe because of its bit rate?

Have You enable Dithering?

From thread about itl:
Just throwing away the samples will yield quantisation noise, which is perceived as distortion that changes character with the sound, and can be quite annoying. With dithering enabled, this noise will take the form of uniform background noise, comparable to noise heard in good old-fashioned analogue recordings. Most people will find this noise much more comfortable.

More information in manual.
