I see several places with the meelectronics Atlas for less than $50, down from $100. Is that good?

Im not much of an audiophile, but id like:
to be able to wear in public (maybe in buses or planes or something, but not walking down the street.) without looking strange (too large or too ugly) - i dont want to draw attention to myself or anything.
reasonable quality in low, mid, and high (see uses below)
isolation isn't really important to me, but id like them not to leak too much - i listen to music at a relatively normal volume, at least i think. (in a fairly quiet room with earphones, i turn my iPod touch up usually between a third of the way and half way.) id like to be able to do this without disturbing people around me.

Uses:
PC gaming (im not a super hardcore gamer, and i already have a mic to use)
PC music listening (right now onboard sound but i may change that soon)
and iPod/phone music listening.

I listen to alot of alternative rock and a little bit of dubstep. Examples would include anything by imagine dragons and anything by linkin park.

Also, id like to be able to wear for a while without significant pain. Also, durability is great, as i might use these on long car rides or public transport, but im not gonna be throwing them across my room.

Not expecting for the best. Im using Aerial 7 tanks right now, and the plastic extension band on one ear broke. According to the internet, these are bass heavy and thats about it, even though im not exactly disappointed with them, with the exception they hurt my ears sometimes. Id say mid and high range are more important to me then bass in many cases, but id rather have even quality in all ranges then have a fantastic mid/high range and barely any low range.

hey, can anyone tell me if the logitech UE 6000 are worth the price? i wouldnt be using the active noise cancelation much.
At this point its between the meeleectronics atlas carbon, the philips above, and the logitechs. I dont have a favorable experience with logitech products in the past but i love the color scheme and they sound pretty good supposedly. if you have any other suggestions they are welcome.

One appealing factor to the atlas is the replaceable cord, so i think i may go with that. although i would like something with a little more isolation if its as bad as everyone says.

Get the UE6000. Especially with the price they are going for nowadays. Nothing else can really compare.

I also think the UE6000 is a great choice. The Philips Cityscape Downtown is very comfortable, but I don't thunk they have nearly the same clarity as the UE6000.

The Philips sound good and are indeed comfortable but the ue6000 is just better period. And they also have a detachable cable.

I think Tyll gave them a thumbs up as well:

I have read a few complaints about the long-term build quality, but that is about it.

I think you'll like the UE6000s. Not only do they have excellent sound for the price, but they also fold up nicely into a small package and come with a neoprene case. Great portability for an over ear headphone :)
