Naw, I could have one but I'm not that keen. I've had that unit almost a year anyway (thanks Gavin) so no need to buy one.

Listening to Daft Punk - Touch right now with A83. = magic.

Daft Punk is always magic lol. Even with my Philips 3590.

well, I have heard others Say Similar. but I have not had issues, the Fidue is Source dependant and tip dependant From my experience

My source is the DX90 and the tips... well, I tried a comply foam tip TX400 on them and frankly, didn't quite sound right. I'm now using some thick silicone tips I found lying around. Sorta works actually. But still a tad sibilant. I heard that the VModa tips work well however. If anyone else have suggestions please let me know. I have a lot of Sony hybrid tips lying around... maybe will try those.

I heard the sony hybrid sound good with the DX90s, and I agree with the comply tips. Doesn't sound right, and muddies the bass and clarity and my experience with the fidue a83

I think the nozzles on the A83 are too short to work well with Complys as the sound has to go through the core of the Comply after leaving the nozzles.

I definitely find the A83s to be tip / seal dependent and a poor seal creates less bass/mids and more treble balance so playing with tips to get a good seal is a good idea.

Remember to focus on the seal near the outer edge of the ear canal with the A83s

Someone should try PFE silicone tips. You know PFE has a short nozzle too. It might work for a good seal.

Complys work well for me.  They have longer and shorter ones (well, rounder).  And I use the Large, so I might her getting a different fit from you.

Good point about the different lengths (shorter ones aren't available in my size so I forgot). Do you find the shorter ones sound different to the longer ones?

They sound good.  Different?  Hard to tell.  I go back and forth between the Complys and silicons.  Different kinds of seal.  And it feels like the silicons are a bit crisper in sound, more edge, where the Complys are a bit smoother..

Today I tried these http://www.ebay.ie/itm/231369796852?var=530632245959&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Not good results at all (for me at least), better fit, but sound got thinner and less bass, way less bass. These tips are a little bit more rounded than the A83 stock tips. Also are shorter and the hole has a bigger aperture.

I think the A83 stock tips gives them a lot of bass, I'm looking to bring the bass down just a notch.

So my Shozy Alien arrived. Unlike Loquah I can't detect any hiss?  I've tried quite a few times and don't hear anything too serious. (at least on this unit)

There may be hope for @mochill and his A83 / Alien pairing too?

Btw; It sounds very good with A83!
