Yes, ears are all that is required. A occasional smile and "thanks" are useful too.

Probably more like 90 minutes from Portland which is a halfway point for the Portland and Seattle members.
I wonder if it's possible to have this at Johnston Ridge observatory... that would be EPIC but more unrealistic and with snow around the corner just unreal.

Johnson Ridge Observatory would be a magnificent location, if possible, but it is a bit out of the way. Snow could also be a concern.
Chahalis would be more accesible. Either way, I hope a mid-point meet would inspire those from Seattle to participate.
If the majority of attendees are from the Portland area, then a location closer to Oregon, would be more appropriate.

Oh didn't know if you were talking to me or uncle al. Yup St Helens but looking at the map that'd add an hour to get there, something I'm sure guys going to the meet would rather not do.

I agree with Soundsgoodtome.. let's decide on a location and date, so all of us can schedule.. as well as identifying audio companies and retailers able to tempt us with new gear.

Hey, Soundsgoodtome.. did I catch your preference regarding location? If we go with a mid-point location, I hope the draw will be sufficient from Seattle and Portland? How 'bout it Big Poppa, do you have the deffinitive word yet?

I myself would prefer Seattle but a halfway sounds cool so we can meet some Portland area head-fiers. I think Big Poppa put this thread on to see, we should make a list as soon as we have a prospective date. Seems to be enough interests from north and south but like myself pending date.

Just offering a whim of a suggestion but if it was in seattle I might go as well. See there is a shuttle bus that goes straight there from Portland for only 15 bucks. If the meet was somewhere close to that shuttle or any of its stops inbetween Im on it.

Because of back pain from accident, Chahalis would be a challenge, but Seatte would place me out of the game, for sure. If enough from Portland respond, I would hope something more inclusive, as far as location, may be possible--
