Think it is because the max songs allowed on this are  4000 each folder....so its locking out at about 163 cds.... 4000 sogs I expect ?...... iv tried looking over the folders, in all songs, or albums, artists  etc  but still not sowing the other music........ wish id knew this I could have used a few  16gb cards instead..... if im correct then ill get a few.. shame I have to now reload any more cards all  over again...... Which audio play canplay more than 4000 songs ?...... any help thanks in advance... martyn

You have an interesting hypothesis, there.

I hope, for everyone's sake, that you're wrong, but what you're suggesting is definitely plausible...

Please let us all know what you find out, about this.

I wouldn't be surprised , there are file limitations on some players due to limited firmware. the latest Sansa's, xDuoo X2 that I know of. haven't reached a file limit on my Benjie S5 yet though. hasn't this also been reported on some of the cheaper AGPteks?

This is the first time iv ever used a large card like the 64gb.... ( some people use more )  ????
Iv always used players with no more storage , accept my sansa clips, zips, etc.... not rockboxed any of them.....
So this is a new one to me...... but reading the info for the  AGPTEK  imp  on Amazon etc it does say plays 4000 songs ?...... so its not there fault..... wish id bought the smaller 16gb  cards now........
Any players which can play more than 4000 ,  or all of the larger cards let me know..... thanks.

On the players you have.... how many songs and cds do you on them.... and do you use external cards or both ?

again; anything that can be rockboxed, but the xDuoo x3  pre rockboxing didn't have a limit

Even my old Cowon J3 handles 64gb microSD cards, and they didn't even exist when the J3 hardware and firmware was being designed.

You have my sympathy, if what you say is correct, Martyn - I'm just glad the player didn't cost you over a hundred quid, so that's some (admittedly small) comfort

Yes you're right...lol.... only £60  + card..... Shame as a nice little sounding player.... might  look into picking up a few 16gb cards.... or even a player like mentioned above the  Xduoo  x3........ thanks everyone, thought might nhave a faulty one..... lol

I have stuff spread over several players, my xDuoo x3's have been rockboxed so LOADS. Benjie S5 no problems yet.
xDuoo x2 has a 100 folder limit, but I still use it because it has a great sound. I have lots of sansa's that I don't currently use but they have also been rockboxed so again loads.

Thanks for info, think you're on the right track. Max songs allowed no matter how long, or format is going to be  4000...... So its more 16gb cards or another player ,

the card in it at the moment has 169 albums on it (don't know song no.), will shove a different card in later with more stuff on to see how it goes.

I have about the same on my player. 163.. and 168 on player. both locking out at  4000 songs.... player said 3000 max , but got more on it.

if you like the sound enough then yeh, just break stuff down into different cards. my tunes are broken down into loads of genres so I can use them in the xDuoo X 2 if I want.
