hello, i'm pretty new to the audio-phile game, and i need suggestions for a good DAC, and closed headphones. i have been looking at the fiio x3 and sennheiser hd8 dj's. i currently have sennhesier hd-280's and an ipod classic 5.5. my budget is pretty tight, but i'm willing to spend more for better equipment.

Can you put a number to the budget, or at least a rough idea (numbers) on how much your willing to spend.
As your looking into getting the FiiO X3 DAP (Digital Audio Player), you will have no need for a separate DAC (Digital to Analog Converter), as the X3 already comes with a WM8740 DAC chip.

The JVC HA-S680 headphones are great portable headphones and sell on eBay or Amazon for around $75.

probably about 500-700 altogether, less would be better, but if domethings worth the extra i'll pay it.
