But yeah, it really is easy to change the look, most files are PNG, so it's just a matter of replacing them. The only one which isn't PNG is the first welcome image which is a bitmap. 
 
I use photoshop to either make new images, or edit existing ones. Be sure to check the option to compress the PNG image when saving it, as the larger images can cause some slowing down in the overall UI. The screen is fairly low-res, so you won't notice a drop in image quality

Oh, that's right I think a while back you said you poached the original vertical theme as the basis for your new one. Kudos anyway for making a great looking theme. My voodoo theme never got fully finished unfortunately - I lost patience at the 95% complete mark so it's OK, but never quite realised my original vision for it

I will upload 2 versions of the "X1" theme. one where I've made as much as i can into a black n white theme, and one where I've left some of the original fiio red theme bits. would appreciate it if you guys could tell me which looks better

These new horizontal FW mods are making me consider jumping from FW 2.14b. They look very nice! Great job guys!

I think I've finally settled on a theme that I'm loving the look of. Took me the whole day to do...still in beta, a few things here and there that I wanna change. Please could you guys install it and give me some feedback, thanks

Beautiful work Theo.  It really is a lovely theme - but I switched back to CH23's in the end.  I guess I just like having all the icons on the screen at once.
 
Will look forward to seeing what else you come up with though !

That doesn't look like a photo of the screen, how'd you do that? Plain ol' photoshop, or do you have a virtual X5?

Also, i like the way you're thinking :)

Thanks buddy. Yeah I design it in PhotoShop first and then work from there

When will you release this?  It looks great!  The only thing I'd change would be to make the background charcoal gray or black instead of brushed aluminum, but that's minor and just my personal taste.
