I had the same issue with an SD card, a very faint but perceptible `tick tick tick', changing cards solved the problem. Yes, the Tera Player is indeed a quirky little beast!

I mentionned earlier that I was earing some "tactactac" from the Tera, and someone cleverly said that it might come from the SD card. It is a 128Gb from Komputer (cheap cheapo). I tried a 64Gb microSDXC from Transcend, and yes, there is no "tactactac", so thanks for the advice! Tera is not involved, event though I could say it is a bit... sensitive

Sooooooooo, thanks to TheDecline01 i got a chance to listen to this mighty little brick.....

It matches fairly well with the Custom Art Harmony 8 in my opinion. Very clean and airy sound, wide soundstage, very detailed,  and yet, an nice presence of bass and low spectrum. In comparison to the ZX1, the Tera offered a more balanced sound to the H8, an overall, great image with extensions both highs and lows perfectly playing with each other.

Being with the zx1 for a couple of weeks now, i'm more used to a more textured image, so i'm a little bit a basshead i'd say by force of things. I'm not sure 100%, but i'm afraid the Tera would unify the image of all my songs, not every song is meant to be airy like that. But yet, i'd need a second run....and i know this will be the next step after the zx1.

There is nothing i've tried until now which was more practical and portable in use than the Tera. (ok...maybe the zip clip + i just tried at the same time).

I LOVE the Tera's ergonomic. I even managed to change artists folders with one hand while having the Tera in my pocket.

Maybe i should sell the ZX and get a sandisk AND the Tera.

The truth is that they are too expensive 999 usd, can get Westone W 60.

A lot of people could say the same about the Tera or one plus two. I try not to knock it till I try it. I thought the ak240 was a over priced piece of **** but it's very good ($2400 usd good ? To some yeah). Though I never recommend buying anything over 300 you never heard with your own to ears.

I have the 1 plus 2 and the Tera and a lot of people say its a perfect match. No matter how much i try to believe that somehow always felt something was missing. Was even toying with the idea of upgrading the cable to the silver/gold or even the Uber thinking that it may be the thing I'm missing out when people say Tera & 1 plus 2 is good.

Again at the end of the day like what people say its your individual preference and I fing the DITA a much better pairing with Tera than the 1 plus 2.

I'm happy & my wallet even happier :)

yeah I tried the reference 1 with uber cable but I cant see what the fuss is about.  Just goes to show you that there are many taste out there.

edit:

to be honest I can get why you like the dita+tera combo.  Both have nonsensical names

in all seriousness the huge soundstage with neutral responce of the Dita should let the tera be itself and isn't that what we want in a gir....eerrr .... ahem dap.

Note: never heard the Dita or Tera but from what I gather on these forums this ^^^^^^^ is who they sound (reserve the right to be wrong).

Ok. One more to add to list of IEMs/headphones that do well with the Tera Player: the Final Audio Design Pandora VI. Initial listen suggests no treble or bass roll off. No worse off than with the Hifiman HM802/901. Very engaging mids. :)
