I've always liked Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. Obviously great music, but also just so well recorded. Lots of formats too - high rez, vinyl, CD.
A bit slower and less rock is Rickie Lee Jones' eponymous album. Same thing, amazing music, amazing recording. The soundstage on this baby with the right gear (speakers) is unbelievably holographic. Less so for speakers but the quality is still there.
But I also just bring what I like, and sometimes it's the less well recorded stuff that shows the strength of gear better. Cuz honestly, the well recorded stuff (like the above) sound great on just about anything...
Best,
-Jason
