Recieved some free equipment, I have no idea what I'm doing (Creative Audigy2 ZS and X-Fi Fatal1ty 5.25" panel)

Hey guys, been lurking this site for a while now to figure out what I want to do, and I finally decided to make my account to get some help with something unrelated. Without boring you with too much backstory, the short version is I'm upgrading my motherboard soon and the new one doesn't have a coaxial S/PDIF out, which my current desk sound system uses. I mentioned it to a friend, and they said they have some stuff I could have. I've never touched soundcards before or anything of the matter, so I have literally no idea what I'm doing, especially since I don't have manuals.

As I said in the title, I received an Audigy2 ZS sound card and a Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty 5.25" panel. I have no idea what I'm doing. I put the soundcard in my PCI slot and booted up, and I didn't get any new recognized hardware off the bat, so I don't know if I have to do BIOS stuff or what. I have an Asrock P43DE3 if that helps, I haven't figured out which new board I'm getting though. What do I have to do to get the panel working with it? Will they even work together? A bit of research says the Audigy2 ZS is pretty old, what can I do with it? Custom drivers you would recommend for gaming? Is it even worth using over current on-board chipsets?

Overall I'm pretty damn clueless right now.

Firstly, the Audigy may longer be fully compatible with the latest version of windows.
Secondly - yes you need to go into the bios and disable on-board sound. This should automatically bring up instillation options when you get into windows.
No idea about getting the panel working, as I had a different X-fi model.
