The Geek Wave InDemand campaign is going to end on March 20, which is 4 days away. Is there any news regarding the solid state memory for the Wave 32? The last time we had official word about it, I think it was stated that there was grim news about it.

No news.  We're operating under the assumption that it won't be available, but we have Franky working hard to find it anyway.

This doesn't seem odd to anybody else? Both are LH Labs sites, not Light Harmonic.

Dude it's already been mentioned multiple times here. LH Labs ≠ LH/Light Harmonic
That makes absolutely no sense - LH is one company and they don't have any subsidiaries.

Light Harmonic is the brand associated with the premium products like Da Vinci, and LH Labs is the brand associated with the desktop products.

Not following, what exactly is odd?

Mini's website is not owned by BMW.

The two different designs for the lhlabs site - nobody noticed the two logos? After signing into...

you end up with a different-looking page if you go to the support home page...

and then it asks you to sign in again and has separate forums. I don't understand
the different color schemes and logos, that's all. Same brand, two different looks.
And Miceblue, just hit the ignore member function if you feel the need to use big caps.

Having different logos and coloring on their pages is simply a branding issue within LH Labs. They're not trying to identify as Light Harmonic directly. Yes, I agree that they should have a set color scheme and logo across all pages but they're not trying to identify directly with Light Harmonic.

Oh, I know that...my thinking is that they should project consistent vision within the lhlabs brand to prevent confusion among backers, which has been an issue in the past imo.

It may seem odd that therenis a clear distinction between the LH Labs websites. Realistically there are three: the forums, then support site and now the LH Labs market site which has recently spun off. This is their choice of how to structure their web presence. Yes, it is a minor nuisance to have to create accounts for three interrelated web sites, but I must emphasize MINOR. Geez, it is not like it is a great task... A little odd perhaps but not unreasonable to compartmentalize their web presence.

Practically what I do care only is the product that I will be receiving.

Logos, websites, company structure are more of their problem.

All things considered, the design of their websites should be our smallest worry. Glad they are gradually moving into production though, maybe we'll see these bad boys during this year after all.

SoCal CanJam is taking place next week in Costa Mesa, CA and LH Labs will be in attendance. A few other backers and myself are also going to be at the show. What I want from you guys is a list of questions you have for LH Labs and I'll see what answers I can bring home. A few quick notes: I won't be asking anything about shipping estimates. I also won't be asking them to try and list all of the Wave configurations or anything like that. But what I do hope to come from this is at least some answers to questions that we backers have. I don't expect them to be able to answer everything on the spot, either.

So let me know what questions you have for LH Labs and we'll see what answers they're able to supply. Questions may be re-worded for clarification.

Hi - one thing that I would like to know is about the WAVE:

I read over at the LHLabs Forum that the WAVE will have physical buttons. I believe Gavin has confirmed this.  In the same thread he wrote that there will be physical buttons also for the navigation in the UI - at least this is how most people understand his remark.
I would like to know if the WAVE will have either touch control or physical buttons control or both for navigation in its UI.

Thx. Gerhard
