first off any help would be greatly appreciated

I would consider myself an amateur audiophile, although I hate that word... I guess I know just enough to be really confused. Anyway...

Like the title says, I have HD558's running through a microStreamer, I have it set up correctly (I think) with wasapi through foobar, and so far it sounds great, but I'm thinking it could be better... I'm really confused on equalization and plug-ins through vst. I have easy-q set up, trying out some presets. I also don't know if I should crossfeed... just looking for someone to sadly, yet thankfully hold my hand here and help me set this up.

I guess here's my questions, I read through the very long explanation of how to properly equalize my headphones... and it was kind of confusing, just wondering if someone could either just send me a link of their equalizer settings that would work for my headphones or just tell me to go through the post and take the time to do it.

I also was hoping for some guidance on any plugins that would be good for me to use.

Sorry for the long post, just trying to get into this and you all seem very helpful so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

You could try using the very famous smiley face curve. Boosted lows and highs and mids cut for very pleasing, but sometimes frowned-upon, listening experience. Some audio "purists" will condemn you for using this curve because they believe the flatter, the better.
