I've just bought Wilko Johnson/ Roger Daltry - Going Back Home on vinyl. It's a great album and I chose the vinyl as A) it will sound massively better than on CD and B) it comes with a free MP3 download!
 
It's a great idea and makes spending £23 instead of £9.99 for the CD more palatable.
 
BUT I've tried for the last 5 days to download and each time Universal Records tells me that they are suffering a huge outage and it's not possible to download at the present time.
 
Has anybody managed to download and why can't a company as big as Universal/BacktoBlack/Chess Records **** this up so badly?
 
I've emailed them but admittedly it's the weekend and so no response yet.

Clearly nobody has read or could care less about this thread but as things stay on the net for ever I thought I had better conclude it.
 
I managed to download the MP3 version on Monday. It's  320kb which is perfectly acceptable and I laud Universal for using this as opposed to ****ty 160k.
 
It sounds fine on my Fiio and no hiccups.
