Brand New : Tralucent Audio Ref.1 Too & original Ref.1

No problem mate.
The Roxanne Uni are just huge from what I saw. My SE5 are huge and still not as large. My Roxannes are also larger than my other customs.

I concur, the Roxanne Universal is a large specimen of an IEM.  The Ref. 1 by contrast is a lot smaller and more forgiving regarding fitting in more ears than the Roxanne.  Both have large ear canal tubes, though, so that is something to consider if you have small ear canals.

Here are a couple photos of the Roxanne I took at the L.A. Head-Fi meet:

does anyone have another iem they can show comparison size pics of teh ref 1 vs *insert Iem here*.
Been looking for some more pics to get an idea of size.

Someone did say they are about tthe size of the "universal" ciems that are at retailers to audition. If this is the case that is fantastic!!

Hey thanks,

Yes yours was one of the reviews that I was looking at for size comparisons actually.
The Shure makes it look massive, though the shures are a nice small package.

They seem to fit in your ears quite well by comparison to some of the reviews I have read of them being simply awkward.

I got fitear TG334 , 1plus2 and Ref.1 and find that TG334 is bigger then ref.1...I have no problem on fitting 1plus2 and Ref.1...but TG334 is just not that comfortable...

I found the Fitear to be an awkward shape more than anything I think.
Very long and narrow which for me at least made it hard to get a stable fit if moving.

Strangely not that much different in shape to the mentors, but the mentors seemed to tuck into my ears as apposed the the 334's sticking out.

You can't go wrong with either. I have both, the Shures definitely fit much better, however my views are opposite Moe's, as I prefer the sound of the Ref1 just a bit more.

Here's a comparison photo next to a Fitear 333.

No worries, Wyd4.

They can be awkward depending on your ear canal make-up, as using sizes-fit-all tips may only work for some people, and the inability to have the IEM's ear canal tube curve to your personal contours hinders overall fit, seal and optimal isolation, in my opinion.  Some universal IEMs look very awkward and may fit awkwardly on some people for this very reason.  The SE846 fits in my ears quite well because I am using the SCS with them, which are my own ear mold impressions created as medical-grade silicone custom sleeves, so anyone who wears the SCS will have the most optimal fit as well as everything else because it is completely custom to each individuals ear(s) contours/makeup.  The Ref. 1 was not the worst IEM I've inserted into my ear canals as the smaller body does help with fit, but the ear canal tube(s) are not the smallest compared to other IEMs.  It was a better fit for me than the Roxanne that had around the same size ear canal tube, as the Roxanne was pretty large upon inserting them in my ear(s).

Agree in respect of the TG being challenging to wear. Which is why I have given up on it once I had my MH334.
