Cable is much nicer than 560
Not a great believer in breakin after about 48 hrs bot seem to be mellower and larger sound stage at that point

Didn't notice the sound stage, not something I tend to listen for :p  I did notice the treble mellowing out though :p

You are probably missing more than sound stage listening to Spotify!

I don't listen to Spotify, I only did cause I didn't have the music that you posted :p  My iPhone uses mainly 256 AAC or 320 MP3.  Differences between that and lossless are pretty small. Poor recording techniques tend to play a bigger roll in the music I listen to.

320 vs 1400 aren't small differences....lol.

In terms of numbers, yes, in terms of what's audible or not, no.  There's a lot more to the compression algorithm, and in many ways, it's possible to compress things smaller without losing data (when uncompressed).  I'm not going to debate lossless vs lossy with you.

There's a difference between infinity and 1400   if you really want to get technical and play with numbers.

You must be hearing different masterings of the same recording if you think 320 vs 1400 is not small.

Trying some custom silver cable with the 560's. Very nice. Excellent sounding. The stock cable is also great sounding, flexible and I like the cloth covering.

For open phones, well these are it for me right now. Beautiful reproduction of sound and I love the speed and decay.

My ears are old, but I can tell the difference!

ABX tested?  Conversion from lossless to lossy and volume matched?

How do the cables effect the sound?  I'm debating on buying a cheap silver ebay cable :p

Lossy tracks are not bit perfect....I only listen at home and all I have is bit perfect in my library, I deleted all of my lossy downloads because of the poor quality!  A headphone such as the HE560 deserves the very best you can afford, from source to the HP!

Actually compressed files could sound better, because they have removed inaudible content from the music (ultrasonic frequencies). And if headphone is prone to have intermodulation distortion with ultrasonic noise, then sound fidelity might be reduced with lossless files.
