Have your Norne Cables arrived yet?????

Should be here on Tuesday, Monday is still possible. Can't wait!!

If I remember correctly, the Norne site had so many options for ways to configure your cable, I started ordering, and just got flustered, threw my hands up, and didn't order.

Nothing complex just make sure you have right headphones connectors and termination for your amp the rest is just a look you want

I am planning to upgrade from HD598+FiiO E17 to HE-560+Project Polaris+DAC, but do not know which DAC is suitable for this setup. Can anyone experienced recommend me some "budget" DACs which are below $200? Thanks.

Also, I was thinking about getting audio-gd NFB-15 or NFB-11. Would this be a better option than polaris+other dac?

I agree somewhat, the site needs to be a little improved. I have a background in interface testing and usability. What I noticed is that you needed to know exactly what all the options were as deciding what you wanted wasn't always clear. I think beside every configuration option you need some help/info text that describes the various options and what makes a particular option unique/appropriate. A good FAQ on what is what is never a bad thing. For me I simply e-mailed Norne with a short, but detailed description of what I wanted and asked for some recommendations. Trevor at Norne responded and over a few e-mails we hashed out the details. I'm the type of person who would rather pick up a phone or e-mail a customer service department rather than muddle through an interface or process I found unclear.

It has become a bit more difficult, I think the Draug 2 is incredible with the 560's, Oleg is a huge Vanquish Fan (I have these on my Alpha Dogs, again excellent), and Cute swears by the new top of the line Solv. The easy part is going balanced with a single ended adapter for versatility. Plus Trevor has adapters so you can switch between different headphones. Give Trevor a call at Norne, he is great to work with, and definitely knows his stuff.

If I can be of any assistance drop me a PM.

Yes indeed Trevor is very helpful and he really knows about his craft. I will be able to hear my Solv soon as that is the cable type Trevor crafted for me. Should be yummy!

Thanks guys, I'll probably send an email with my amps and headphones and see what he comes up with. I'm not handy, don't know my tools and diy stuff...the site gives me the same agida that Home Depot does

So funny, I worked at Home Depot in flooring for three years!

So I'm sure you're at home there, having 10 thumbs on 2 left hands, I usually ask for help on which side of the screwdriver to hold

My preference is a little bit dark side.
I have He-6s and LCD-2.2s which have two different natures, Brighter and Darker.
LCD-2.2 is not very excellent in highs, so that my upgrade path from LCD-2.2 might not be He-560, but LCD-3.
Is it reasonable?

Not a great headphone. Too bright. Construction wise, it's the best Hifiman has done thus far but the HE-500 certainly sounds better to my ears.

Really? I can see you saying the sound signature isn't for you, but to say it isn't a good headphone seems almost impossible given the extremely positive response the 560 has won here and elsewhere. How long did you listen to them? Please tell me at least several hours over a few days, which would be barely an acceptable minimum. Certainly if your used to a darker signature, it takes your brain a little bit of time.

By all accounts if you like a little toward the darker side the LCD 3 as compared to the 560 would make sense. I wouldn't call the 560 bright, but it most certainly can't be described as warm.
