Great write-up and a video that covers the basic aspects very well. Congrats @Tom22 ! and thanks for mentioning. Just added to FP!

Received my Havi yesterday! DHL express shipping from Lendmeurears. First impressions; Wow, these are really good! The fit leaves a lot desired, still haven't managed to get a comfortable fit but I can see the fabulous performance already with a so..so... fit. Btw, are these shallow-fit earphones? been used to the RE400 and the Phonak 112 and finding it difficult to get used to the fit. Boy, the sound is beautiful for the price - it's like a triple-fi pro without the bass explosion and flashy highs! Though there is some high end brightness that's just a bit unsettling.Noise isolation is not great but not a surprise considering the fit. The sound; RE400 is dark chocolate and Phonak - a bit of wafer mixed, looks like the Havi is right in between and that's a great balance.
There also seems to be a slight channel imbalance...or may be that's because of the fit. I seem to be able to feel it with some tracks but not with others. I feel my X3 in High gain doesn't have the juice to drive these! though my Acer laptop performs very nicely! (in my experience Acer has one of the crappiest headphone outputs followed by Dell). My O2 does well though the synergy isn't there, E11 a bit better pairing soundwise but let down on the technicalities. Seems like to me, the Havi pairs better with warm amps. Have been planning to get a Little dot 1+ for a while now so I'll have to skip the Cain C5 bandwagon. Now I'll get back to experimenting with tips, right now the WSH seems to be the best fit for me.
The LD I+ and C5 is the best pairings I've heard so far with the B3. I see if I can get around to do a comparsion between the two but I'm so busy at work at the moment and are going for a longer business trip in one week time so I can't promise when I get the time.......
I agree that the B3 perform best with warmer amps (at least for my preferences).
I will second that as well. IMO, the Havi always sounds phenomenal with instrumental recordings, but may sound slightly dry on genres such as rock or electronic music, particularly in the lower mids. Having a bright sounding amp exacerbates this characteristic, whereas an amp with a slightly warm or smooth kinda sound signature helps remedy some of that.
The GO1000, Pico Slim and HDP-R10 all exhibit some tinge of either warmth or smoothness.
Do you believe adding an amp to the GO1000 line-out can change something for B3 Pro1? Peter and I have been thinking of this for a while. He will be receiving his GO sooner than me. I am sure he's going to post something on this. But it will be good to know your pairing trials of an amp with the GO.
(or is it better to use GO by itself, without an addition of an amp to the chain?)
I dont think there are Havi B3 fakes
Good to hear. So I can just pick any seller/shop shipping to Germany.... fine
