Hmmmm I'm really not too sure to be honest @Baycode. I'll continue putting some time into this pairing to get a better judgement! But yes, right now I would still put my R10, GO1000 and Pico Slim pairings above the O2/ODAC

I've found an earphone that can match / surpass the imaging and soundstage of Havi, it's made by an Australian company called Audiofly, (AF140) but doesn't come cheap at $350 AUD, it's mid-range tonality may not suit everyone either being quite dark. I think the imaging and ambience of AF140 is more involving than Havi, though we're talking almost $300 more money here and I can see many people still taking Havi.

On other fronts I also have Noble PR here with me as demo unit, while it's rather detailed the entire presentation is quite sterile in reference mode, unlike AF140 or Havi - Noble PR's overly analytical presentation sounds a little harsh all over but incredibly clear, though it doesn't have any true vibe or atmosphere like the other two earphones. it's a clear detailed earphone without much else.. All in all I honestly think I prefer Havi over Noble PR, this is from running test tracks most of the afternoon.

Take it with salt grains, preference bias, and possibly value for money perspective. but that's how I hear it.

You Havi owners are doing quite well, so be proud of the PRO 1.

To keep it fair to the consumer I think $200.

But it isn't the case with all earphones. Honestly, the more 'high end' / 'mid tier' IEM I hear whether by ownership or demo the pricing and value of an earphone in portable audio is all over the place and to some extent irrelevant. I've heard $600 earphone beaten by $120 earphone but that $120 earphone beaten by $200 earphone and the $200 by $80. So the rule of judgment in "get what you pay for" is just not true imo. (not true) especially most recently in the portable audio world.

For example, Noble PR is more detailed than the other two earphones I mentioned, that's obvious, but what about the other aspects, the aspects that excel and make Havi what it is? Things like imaging / soundstage, the actual vibe, essence you draw from an earphone.

So it's really tit for tat, this earphone has that, the other this, what you want to find is the earphone with a happy medium of everything and at a price within your budget. Havi just happens to be one of those earphones that ticks the right boxes.

Long live Havi...lucky me did not splash big dolla on ckr9....just joking...can't afford them...lol

That's the thing though, our curiosity and "need" to find out is always hindering.

For all anyone knows the CKR9 may be just as special and that's why we never leave here because we want to find out.

Like I said, it's not always the case with every earphone, 1Plus2 for example is absolutely amazing, a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

Not saying the Havi isn't great but the CKR9's treble is in a league of its own, I also like it's low end more than the Havis

havi b3 pro 1 of course.
I should say I could definitely hear a decrease in sound quality using my laptops headphone out.. and a slight decrease using my nexus 4 out.. but both headphone amps seem about the same..

That's kiind of surprising. The B3 should be revealing enough to make out the differences. That being said I'd also like to add that just because two amps sounds very similar doens't mean all does

Oh gawd no....

.......so much for all amps sounding the same

I'll bet you a pair of budget IEM's that you'll hear a difference between the C5 and the E11K, which one you prefer is another matter

@peter123..from assumption...Cayin with Havi is da bomb.....?

Brief one will do compared to NX1...thanks bro

Correct assumtion, it's a match made in heaven.

I think I posted a comparsion between NX-1 and C5 a couple of weeks ago, don't remember if I included the B3's though. I'll try to make it in a couple of days.

I think someone sais (Dsnuts??) that the C5 is the Havi of amplifiers and I support that statement. Rediculous performance at a price most people here can accept.
