@rontant

bro, why didn't you just get yours from LMUE? it'd have been much less wait time and afaik, slightly cheaper as well!

You know what...   I only found out from @Wokei  that LMUE is indeed in Singapore after I made my order from eBay.  I am so ashamed of myself because of this.

once again just a small contribution:

I can report on the amp pairing of the B3 with the JDS C5.

I find this amp to have many similarities with the Pico Slim (impressions of which I posted a while back)

Presentation is very forward (more than the PS from what I remember). Very open sounding and transparent as well. Bass boost is healthy, clean, without having a midbass bloat-esque effect. Soundstage is expansive.

Much like the Pico Slim pairing, synergy is very good, and helps improve certain traits of the B3 perceived as weaknesses by some.

Namely: those not quite accustomed to the flat and neutral sounding B3 will enjoy a (much more) upfront presentation. Those who crave more bass without any additional warmth will like the C5 as well.

The Pico Slim is still slightly better IMO, and logically so given the price gap. Separation and layering is still superior. Also, the bass impact is roughly the same, but iirc, the Slim sounded even better.

Edit: Disclaimer: I tested this with a 5th Gen iPod Classic --> Fiio LOD --> C5 as opposed to having the Fiio X3 (+ Silver IC) as my primary source when tested with the Pico Slim.
