Fiio x5 vs Ibasso dx90

But if seriously just get any of it and then sell it -20% off  if you dont like it.

I have Fiio X5 and Westone UM 50 Pro and im very satisfied. May be DX90 is better..but I dont want to change anything soundwise.

the dx90 has infinite battery life:  get an external charger and a couple of spare batteries - it uses galaxy s3 compatible batteries, which are cheap and easily available.  carry a spare battery or 2 with you and you never need to worry about a drained battery.

Apple iTouch with Beyer A200d is a great combo I use myself, but I have to admit that a FiiO x1 is on the same level, and is more practical on the road. I think the X3 second edition will do more than fine for you.

Due to reading  this very long and informative thread, I am going with the DX90.  Also, from reading this thread, you can't go wrong with either one..

maybe i shouldn't post this, in this thread. 
i have a beyer dt880 250 ohms. I've heard and read that fiiO x5 can't drive this headphone properly and needs an extra amp. now my question is that, is Ibasso dx90 as same as FiiO X5? or it can be a stand alone device?

Houmann, perhaps the DX90 won't be the best choice. If I've read correctly in some of the comparisons, the X5 has a slightly better amplifier than the DX90. I'm sure many would disagree, but that is so far what I've read. I've never heard or owned the X5, so I personally can't comment. 
 
Also, funny thing. When I emailed iBasso about potential new models and perhaps a successor to the DX90 or the DX100 as Fiio will soon be rolling out second generation of its models, the reply I got was that iBasso does not consider Fiio as a competitor and that they currently have no intentions to release any new models. Lol. 
 
Not a competitor? seriously? tell that to the X5 and the upcoming 2nd Gen!
